On December 5, 2018, Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir met in Khartoum with the delegation of the Supreme People’s Court (“SPC”) of China led by Jiang Wei, the SPC’s vice president.

Highly evaluating the friendship between Sudan and China, Bashir said that Sudan-China exchanges and cooperation in the field of justice is an important part of the strategic partnership between the two sides, pledging that he will actively support the extensive exchanges and cooperation on this front between Sudan and China.

Jiang extended cordial regards of SPC’s President Zhou Qiang, and noted that China is willing to work together with the Sudanese side to enhance exchange and mutual learning, continue to lift the bilateral judicial cooperation to higher levels, and provide sound judicial services and guarantees for economic and social development of both China and Sudan.
