On May 13 of 2019, the Political Department of the Chinese Embassy exchanged views with China Department of the Sudanese Foreign Ministry at the Chinese Embassy. Director of China Department of the Sudanese Foreign Ministry, Omar, with other relevant staff and the Chinese counterparts attended the meeting.

Ambassador Ma Xinmin gave Ramadan greetings to the Sudanese side at the beginning. The two sides took stock of the progress made between both countries since January 2019 and exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations in the next stage and the important agenda of cooperation in various fields. They also discussed how the two sides can seize the historical opportunity of building the "Belt and Road" to promote the common development of both sides.
