On February 3, 2020, the Foreign Ministry of the Sudanese transitional government sent a letter of sympathy to the Chinese Ambassador in Sudan for the COVID-19 epidemic outbreak in China, reading: “We would like to convey our sympathy and support, to the Chinese Ambassador in Sudan and through the Chinese Ambassador in Sudan, to the friendly Chinese government and people, for China’s battle against the COVID-19 epidemic, and offer our condolences to the Chinese patients infected with COVID-19 and wish them a speedy recovery. Sudan is ready to work with China to overcome the challenge and is confident of the Chinese government’s capabilities to prevail against the coronavirus”.
